  1. The program TURBO535 Version 4 ( PD filename TURBO538.ZIP) has the aim
  2. to control the SW receiver NRD-535(D) and to support the listening 
  3. activities with: 
  4.  
  5. + fast and easily to use and easily to update frequency data files 
  6. + extended and fast logging facilities 
  7. + tracking mode to show which station the receiver is tuned to 
  8. + SWL Workshop combining receiver control and access to frequency data 
  9.   files and logging facilities 
  10. + flexible NRD memory management facilities 
  11. + analysis and processing of received signal strength 
  12. + long term timer programming facilities
  13. + direct receiver control 
  14.  
  15. Also a number of database functions can now be used with a NRD-525.

  17. It is a MS Windows-application realised with Visual Basic v3, prof.
  18.  
  19. To install and set-up the program in the right way it is necessary to read 
  20. chapter 1 of the documentation. Especial attention should be given the 
  21. prescribed directory structure and the right place of all the files in this 
  22. structure.

  24. In case TURBO538.ZIP is unpacked in an empty directory on your harddisk
  25. called C:\TEMP and that directory is made the current directory, then,
  26. after entering INSTALL the whole packet will completily automatically be
  27. installed in a new directory C:\TURBO538, including all its sub-directories
  28. and files.

  30. The documentation file is available in two versions :
  31. DOC538GB.WRI : in the English language
  32. DOC538NL.WRI : in the Dutch language
  33. Both files are in the so-called .WRI format. The best results for reading or 
  34. printing will be reached if the wordprocessor program WRITE, distributed in 
  35. the Windows package, is used.
